  1. There are 3 or 4 companies that sell bicycle stands you can use to generate electricity. I have come up with a design that has some improvements one of which I have patent pending status on. Most of these are made in china and I can easily go on the internet and find companies in China to make product for me, but for a number of reasons I do not want to get involved in buying parts from china. I figure the first step was to find companies that could do the mechanical drawings for the motor generator I would need and the parts to be assembled into the motor generator. I could not find a single Mexican company on the internet that sold electric motors or any other parts even though I have heard of companies who brought their parts manufacturing back to the United States because of poor quality or knock-offs being made. When I saw information on the Mexicali Supply expo I wanted to go and starting looking into it. I found 2 maps on the internet showing how to get to the supply expo, but even though they showed the same streets they gave them different names and showed the expo in different locations. I found a number for the expo and called them to find out about the possibility of there being able to help me and give me directions. They seemed to have no interest in my business, but did say they would send me an email on companies who might help me and directions. I am still waiting for that email. I decided to try getting to the expo with the maps I had. I saw no signs for the expo and gave up figuring I would just end up getting lost which given I speak no Spanish would not be good. I looked on the internet for maps of Mexicali for next year but so far have not found any. I believe there is at least some market for parts made in Mexico instead of made in Asia, but the Mexicans seem to have no interest in trying for it. The only companies I can find on the internet selling Mexico’s low cost labor are US companies and I was wondering why Mexico does not even try to sell parts to the US?
